Parks & Grounds
A division of the Public Works department, Parks and Grounds maintains green areas such as City Hall, Library, Art Center, Fire Stations, Utilities, Cemeteries, Right of Ways, Medians, Vacant city owned properties, lift stations and irrigation. The department also oversees the landscape maintenance contractors who maintain the miles of Medians and Right of Way’s. The division also provides maintenance of City Parks including mowing, pruning, weeding and edging, irrigation and litter control and playground equipment maintenance. This division also provides staff support for various City special events.
Tree City USA
The City of Boynton Beachhas been a Certified Tree City USA for 24 years. This means we have met the following four Standards:
Standard #1 – A Legally Constituted Tree Body
Standard #2 - Have a community tree ordinance
Standard #3 – An Active, Comprehensive Community Forestry Program
Standard #4 – An Arbor Day Proclamation & Public Commemorative Tree Planting
National Arbor Day
We Celebrate National Arbor Day in April each year with a tree planting ceremony.

Adopt a Tree This program is for Boynton Beach city residents only, one tree per address per year and limited to the first 25 applicants pending the availability of funding in the budget.
