Historical Note: A. R. Cook (1899-1993) moved to Palm Beach County in 1916, and was a resident of Boynton Beach starting in 1923. He was the Supervisor of Public Works for over 23 years. He was a member of the Boynton Beach Volunteer Fire Department for 67 years, and was the Chief for several years.
Scope and Content Note: Three articles on Boynton Beach history, and a handwritten journal with daily entries noting the date, temperature (high, low, and average), weather (indicated by a code), and occasional notes on local events, deaths, marriages, storms, and “Dick’s” movements.
