City Appoints New Deputy Fire Chief
The City of Boynton Beach has selected a new Deputy Fire Chief of Administration, Latosha Clemons. Clemons is an accomplished firefighter with more than 20 years of service to the City.
“Latosha Clemons has been a valuable and dedicated member of the Fire and Rescue Department for more than two decades,” said Fire Chief Glenn Joseph. “She is well deserving of this position and I look forward to working with her to exceed community expectations.”
Clemons began her career with the Boynton Beach Fire and Rescue Department in 1995 as a firefighter and emergency medical technician. Throughout her career, Clemons has worked in a variety of roles in the department including: paramedic, operator engineer, lieutenant, captain and battalion chief, before assuming her new position.
Clemons is trained in fire service administration, public personnel management and fire service financial management. She is also a graduate of the US Fire Administration’s National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program, a member of the International Association of Firefighters, and former president of the Gold Coast Progressive Firefighters Association of Palm Beach County. Some of Clemons other academic achievements include a Master of Science degree in Executive Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from St. Thomas University in Miami.
A formal badge ceremony for Clemons will be included in the Boynton Beach Fire and Rescue Department’s annual awards ceremony at Bethesda East Hospital, 2815 S. Seacrest Blvd., in February.
