The Recreation and Parks Department offers a great day camp program this summer at five convenient locations packed with a variety of experiences and field trips. Children, ages 4-14, will have loads of fun enjoying sports, crafts and play during their summer break.
Camps are held Monday-Friday from June 12 through August 4. Each camp has its own personality and feel, and one will be just right for your child! Children can pack a snack; lunch is provided through a special grant funded program at most sites and breakfast is provided at Camp Shining Stars and Camp Dolphins. Every child receives a free t-shirt. Fees for the entire 8 weeks are only $500 for residents and $625 non-residents for Kids Rock, Camp Happy Days, Camp Shining Stars and Camp Dolphins. Art Camp is $575 for residents and $720 for non-residents. These camps run from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
For those who love sports and only need a half-day camp, Sports & Fitness Zone is available for ages 7-14 and takes place from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Fees are $220 for residents and $275 for non-residents.
New this year is Camp Destination where teens and tweens will experience fun field trips and adventures from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Paintball, Ninja Lounge, water parks, and a host of supercool experiences are on the itinerary. Camp Destination is $350 for residents and $438 for non-residents per four week session.
