The City will host a Baby Safety Expo on Monday, September 23 from 10 am – 12 noon at the Children’s Schoolhouse Museum (129 East Ocean Blvd.) in celebration of September’s designation of “National Baby Safety Month.”
This free, family-friendly event includes admission to the museum; all attendees will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a free family pro yearly membership to the Children’s Schoolhouse museum, along with a basket of baby proofing tools.
The City’s Fire Rescue, Police and Recreation departments will be doling out important safety advice about a variety of topics, including:
• Safe sleep information
• Basic first aid tips
• Pool and water safety
• Neighborhood safety
• Hot car awareness
Car seat installations and safety checks will be performed on site by Fire Rescue. In addition, parents will have the opportunity to create personalized Child ID kits compliments of the Boynton Beach Police Department.
Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Palm Beach County will be doling out prenatal advice, and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will also be on hand to educate attendees about transportation and vehicle related safety issues.
