The City will host a July 4th celebration complete with music, food trucks, children’s activities and one of the largest fireworks displays in Palm Beach County. This free, family-friendly event will take place at Intracoastal Park (2240 N. Federal Hwy.) on Thursday, July 4 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
The celebration will kick off at 6:30 pm with a spectacular water show by Palm Beach Hydroflight. Athletes will surf the skies on water propelled Jet boards, defying gravity with mind-blowing maneuvers done up to 50 feet in the air. Florida-based Sub Groove Band will perform on the Main Stage and fill the air with original funk/pop music. Children will take delight in face painting, fishing game, giant Legos, arts & crafts and a large sand pile with beach toys. Food trucks including Gastro Geeks, Troy's BBQ, Annabell's Beach Treats, Professional Concessions Incorperated and Boardwalk Ice Creamery will be serving up delicious food and beverages available for purchase.
Parking is limited at Intracoastal Park. Beginning at 5:30 pm, complimentary shuttles will operate from two convenient locations (parking is free and plentiful):
• Journey Church, 715 Federal Hwy.
• Boynton Beach City Hall, 3301 Quantum Blvd.
Ride share dropoff/pickup location is Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park (2010 N. Federal Hwy.).
“The City of Boynton Beach is very proud to continue the tradition of our annual July 4th celebration. This year’s event will focus on one of the City’s amenities – our waterfront,” said Eleanor Krusell, Director of Public Communications and Marketing.
The event will culminate at 9 pm with a dazzling twenty-minute Zambelli fireworks display, synchronized to patriotic music, overlooking the Intracoastal. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
