Hurricane Irma Updates

CURFEW HAS BEEN LIFTED EFFECTIVE THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2017
Please be safe out on the roads. Some traffic signals are still down and debris remains.

SOLID WASTE SERVICES - GARBAGE, RECYCLING and VEGETATION: (updated 9/13/17) The City will resume regular garbage and recycling operations on Thursday, September 14, 2017.  Vegetation waste will also be picked up starting on Thurday, September 14 when the Solid Waste Authority begins accepting those materials. Vegetation Guidelines: Pile must be made up of vegetation only with no other solid waste products mixed in with the vegetation pile. Do not use plastic bags. The City will not be able to remove piles containing plastic bags. Place loose vegetation on top of vegetation pile. It will probably take 60 days to remove all storm debris from Boynton Beach communities. Please be patient and assist by following the guidelines. 

RECREATION AND PARKS PROGRAMS
The Hester Center and the Civic Center will be open for recreation from 10 am - 6 pm on Wednesday, September 13 through Friday, September 15. All recreation programs scheduled for the Art Center, Senior Center, Civic Center and Hester Center will continue as scheduled. The Sims Center and Denson Pool will be open when power is restored. The Tennis Center is closed until further notice. All parks are closed at this time. Please call 561-742-6240 for recreation and parks information.

The City of Boynton Beach Hurricane Irma Public Information Line is now active and manned by city staff members. Residents, business owners and visitors are encouraged to call 561-742-6921 for answers to commonly asked questions on such topics as city services, city facility closures, power-generated gas stations and stores, road closures, flooded areas and transportation services.
This is a non-emergency line. Those needing immediate emergency assistance should dial 911.
