What is Summer Reading?

Why should I register?

Everyone who registers for Summer Reading can collect a prize at the end of the summer! Registering for Summer Reading also helps the library learn more about the needs of our children, tweens, and teens.

Who can register?

Summer Reading is for children (infants-8 years), tweens (9-12 years), and teens (13-17 years). Registration begins Saturday, May 30 and ends August 31.

Do I have to keep track of the books I’m reading?

You will receive a goodie bag just for registering, but if you keep a list of the books you have read and share that list with us at the end of the summer, you will get a bonus prize!

If you would like to handwrite your list, just use lined paper or print a book log  or youth log. Complete the list and turn it in in after September 5 for a prize.

If you would like to type your list, make sure to include your full name at the top. Completed typewritten lists can be emailed to the Youth Librarian at greenk@bbfl.us.
