Statement of Significance

The property at 413 NE 12th Avenue is a rare remaining example of a wood frame vernacular structure in the City of Boynton Beach. Built during the segregation era, the residence is a significant example of the wood frame vernacular style which retains many character-defining features and its integrity. The property is associated with an early pioneer family whose members contributed to the development of the City and the community. Ownership of the property has remained within the family since the house was first built. The property significantly contributes to the historic fabric of the City of Boynton Beach and is eligible for individual designation and inclusion on the Boynton Beach Register of Historic Places.
