Responsibilities
The Boynton Beach Police Department Records Division is responsible for providing police incident reports, addressing issues with parking citations and any general information requests.

Public records can be obtained in several ways:

Types of Public Records
Police Reports
Police reports are generally available 7 to 10 business days after the date of occurrence. Public records requests are processed in the order in which they are received. All reports will be reviewed pursuant to FSS 119 prior to release.
City Clerk’s Office
Handles all other public records requests to include:
- Copies of evidence (video, photographs, digital evidence)
- Dispatch calls
- Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) reports
- Fire Department reports
- Code Enforcement reports

Background Checks
The Boynton Beach Police Department no longer offers to the public the service of conducting a background check. This may be obtained through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement website or in person at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, located at:
