Transforming Traffic Boxes into Public Art

Traffic Control Box Public Art Program

The City of Boynton Beach’s Traffic Control Box Public Art Program transforms everyday infrastructure into vibrant, community-inspired works of art. Through this initiative, traffic control boxes across the city will be wrapped with original artwork that reflects Boynton Beach’s character, creativity, and sense of place.

The program invited local artists—amateur and professional, of all ages—to submit original designs for consideration. The selected artwork will be installed at key intersections throughout the city, contributing to a more engaging streetscape and supporting the City’s commitment to public art and creative placemaking.

Artwork concepts for this program were inspired by themes such as:
