On August 15, 2017, the City Commission approved a resolution establishing a local business preference of 5% in the acquisition of goods and services.
A sealed bid or proposal submitted by a certified local firm that is located within the City of Boynton Beach will receive a 5% or $5000, whichever is less, bid evaluation preference.
For informal purchases, City departments and staff are strongly encouraged to utilize local businesses if they otherwise meet purchasing policy requirements.
