How do you get your book on the shelves of the Boynton Beach City Library?

To Donate Your Book to the Library

The Library follows a collection development policy in order to have a book added to the general collection. You, the author, must provide professional reviews of your book. These can include local newspaper and magazine reviews; however, Amazon reviews are not sufficient. A donated book cannot be returned if it does not meet our collection development criteria. It will be given to The Friends of the Boynton Beach City Library and may be sold in their bookstore.

To Add Your Book to the Local Authors Collection

If you are a Boynton Beach resident, you may donate a copy to the Library. It will be added to the Library's Local History and Archives Collection.

To Have a Book Signing or Program at the Library

As part of our programs for the community, we do host author talks and signings. The book must follow the professional book review criteria listed above. We plan out our programs 4 to 6 months in advance. Please submit your program suggestion via email to the Marketing and Outreach Manager. Note that we are only able to host a small portion of interested authors.
