NOTICE: The boat ramps at Pioneer Canal Park will be closed indefinitely. An assessment was conducted by Public Works, Engineering & Construction Services and the ramps were deemed unsafe. City staff is working on a design. Once the design is completed, we will look into funding and completing the project as designed.
The design of the boat ramp and dock improvements was approved by the Boynton Beach City Commission at its October 17 meeting.

Conceptual Design Draft for Pioneer Canal Park Boat Ramp and Dock Improvements

Park Hours: Sunrise – Sunset; lighted facilities open until 10:00 p.m.
The area adjacent to the park on the C-16 canal is a "No Wake Zone"; established as 200 feet east and west of the boat launch area. (per Code of Ordinances Sec. 16-93-1)
Amenities: Basketball court, BBQ grills, benches, boat ramp/dock, drinking fountain, fishing pier, monofilament recycling bins, open play area, pavilion, picnic tables, playground, restroom, tennis courts, volleyball court, fresh water access to the C-16 canal
Historical Information: Located on the C-16 canal that runs east to west, the park provides boaters fresh water access to the E-4 canal that runs north to south and access to Lake Osborne to the north and Lake Ida to the south.
The South Florida Water Management District is responsible for dredging the canal.
